What is Event Wander?

Event Wander is a one stop directory of local events and fun things to do in your area.

We are passionate about enabling local businesses, artists, and organizations connect with people by offering a simple, ad-free platform that is not only easy to use, but equal to use. All listings are created equal and no listing out-ranks another.

We like to think we are the ultimate do-rectory.

How does listing my event work?

Our process is simple and convenient. Select the option that works for you: monthly, annual, or single event. Fill in a short form to collect the event details and submit it. We design and layout the listing for you and it will go live on the site within 1 business day (or a future date of your choosing).

How much does it cost?

Event Wander is free to search to your heart's delight!

To list your events, we offer several options to fit your needs. As we are committed to being free of forced-ads, we are solely supported by these listing fees and are proud to offer an affordable local solution.

How do I make a change to an existing listing?

If you are a monthly or annual client, submit a help ticket directly through your customer portal (do not use our regular contact form) and we will make the changes in 1 business day or less.

If you are a single event client, either respond to the email you received when your listing went live (preferred) or use our contact form and include the event title and details and we will make the changes within 1 business day or less.

How can I update my subscription or billing information?

What kind of events can I list?

It's easier to address the types of events you can't list.

We welcome all individuals, artists, businesses, and organizations to list almost any kind of local event provided that:

• It's legal

• It provides an element of fun, interest, or entertainment, or supports a charitable cause.

With that in mind, we will not post events that promote any illegal activity or that have a high potential to become violent. We reserve the right to reject any listing that, in our sole discretion, fits either of these criteria.

How do you drive traffic to your site?

We deploy a combination of internal marketing tools, targeted local reach, social media reach, and organic reach. It's far more effective to drive traffic to a centralized source than for each individual business to take on the task alone...there is strength in numbers.

And we are growing! The more listings we have to offer to your potential customers, the more engaged and aware they will be of Event Wander and you!

What are your business days/hours?

We operate Monday through Thursday 8am to 7pm, and Friday 8am to 2pm, EST.

We commit to a 1 business day turnaround on event submission and support requests, but it is often only a few hours. We say 1 business day in case a request comes in at 3am on a Saturday....we mayyyyy not get back to you until Monday.

How do I use your site to find things to do?

It's easy! From our home page, type in your state name or abbreviation. Or select your state from the dropdown at the top of our site.

From there, you'll be able to search events in that state by almost any way you can think of...city, zip code, event type (live music, craft fair, food festival etc...), age (21+, all ages, family friendly) keywords (event title, band, run, race, craft, food, etc..).

Your search results will always be specific to what you searched for. No ads popping up, no forced sign ups, and we don't track or collect your data!

Can I bid or pay extra to have my events be displayed first?

Nope. It's one of the things that proudly sets us apart.

All event listings are created equal. All event clients pay the same (based on the plan they choose) and no one can outbid their neighbor to show up first on a page.

The display of your event(s) is driven by visitor search (it's sooo simple to use) giving them the opportunity to see all results relevant to their search, including yours!

We firmly believe it's the quality of the event, not the advertising budget, that should get people in your door. Host good events, get good customers.
